The Gantry program is designed to offer a guaranteed pathway to employment, not employability through the comprehensive processes we have put in place to achieve this goal. Skills4Industry integrative competence framework is premised on the belief that an individual’s success will increase tremendously if the learning processes available to them are conducted in environments similar to those in which subject matter mastery will be applied. The key drivers of the Skills4Industry Gantry pathways program are:
- Close gaps that leave many young people, adults, and workers behind
- Provide a climbing frame with pathways to exit credentials in all occupations to ensure individuals achieve economic stability
- Help school systems and further educational institutions forge stronger connections between learning and economic opportunity through experiential education
- Reduce barriers between working and learning at home, school, work, and playgrounds by capturing the data, teaching students how to record and balance their skills so they are bankable for later use
- Bridging the worlds of education, employment, and entrepreneurship through responsive processes that takes our students through the doors of the employers they would like to work for daily
- Establish models and theories of change important to connecting learning to working through the application of digital transformation technologies in learning reinforcement, because when people know what they are good at, they will be encouraged to use that knowledge to explore new areas
- Establish a hub for education-and-employment integration where learners find the help they need to make the right choices, learn a new skills, mentored and professionally guided
- Measuring success in terms of both educational attainment and labor market outcomes using Learner Destination and Distance Traveled
- Track both college-related outcomes while prioritizing employment outcomes
- Providing learning opportunities closely aligned with the realities of workplaces to individuals through work-based learning
